Tired of signing up for “Adult” level ballet classes, only to walk into a room of lithe, willowy teenagers? Well, we swear on a stack of stockings that you won’t run into that at VanElla Studios. Ballet Basics is intended for beginners and people who are looking for a ballet refresher. This class combines stretching and strengthening exercises, to help students increase flexibility, cardiovascular stamina, and improved posture. Strength and flexibility are gained through the use of natural resistance, targeting the legs, hips and abdominals. Clothes should be fitted to the body and allow free movement. Suggestions include: leotards, tights, wrap skirts, etc. Ballet shoes are encouraged, but not required.
